Eve Friedman-Dekro from Mayor’s Office Updates Club on Birthday on the Bash Celebration

Eve Friedman-Dekro, Citizen Engagement & Communication Administrator at The City of Terre Haute was our guest speaker at today’s weekly Breakfast Meeting.

She educated club members about the city’s Birthday on the Bash celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday, which will take place at Fairbanks Park on June 27. Activities include:

  • 7:00 AM — Ride Across Indiana (RAIN)
    The annual Ride Across Indiana returns for its 37th year with a 160-mile ride beginning in Terre Haute and ending in Richmond.
  • 9:00 AM — Red, White & Blue Color Run
    A community fun run open to all ages with proceeds supporting the future Veterans Memorial Wall. Location: Riverside Drive
  • 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM — Kid Zone
    Games, crafts, and activities for kids hosted by the Vigo County Public Library and Terre Haute Children’s Museum. Location: Playground Shelter
  • 10:00 AM — Freedom Plaza Opening
    Join the official opening ceremony and explore historical displays, veteran organizations, and community booths throughout the plaza. Location: Freedom Plaza
  • 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM — Patriot Paddle
    Kayaking on the Wabash River with 30-minute sessions available through online pre-registration. Location: YMCA Parking Lot
