Who We Are
The Terre Haute Breakfast Optimist Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization that values all children and helps them develop to their full potential.
What We Do
We conduct fundraising events throughout the year and contribute the money raised to a wide-range of charitable organizations and activities that benefit local youth. In addition, we award Promising Youth scholarships directly to local high school graduates.

2026 Chili for Children Cook-Off
Join us on September 26, 2026 at the Vigo County Fairgrounds for our fourth annual chili cook-off. This is our primary fundraising event which we use to contribute to youth-related events and organizations throughout each year.

2025 Chili Cook-Off Is Well Attended
Our 2025 Chili for Children Cook-Off held on Saturday, October 4 was a big success, with many local residents sampling the over 20 different type of chili prepared and served by local organizations.
Our Tree at the 2024 FEZtival of Trees
The Breakfast Optimist Club is sponsoring the Feztival of Trees with a baby-themed Christmas tree.
Jessica Berryhill Discusses Mt. Pleasant’s Grace Gala
Jessica Berryhill, Special Needs Coordinator at Mount Pleasant Church, was our guest speaker on March 28, 2024. She spoke to the club about the annual Grace Gala at the church. The club made a $750 donation towards the event.
