About Us
Who We Are
The Terre Haute Breakfast Optimist Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization that values all children and helps them develop to their full potential.
What We Do
We conduct fundraising events throughout the year and contribute the money raised to a wide-range of charitable organizations and activities that benefit local youth. In addition, we award Promising Youth scholarships directly to local high school graduates.

2024-2025 Visual Arts Competition
The Terre Haute Breakfast Optimists are sponsoring our 1st Annual Visual Arts Competition. This exciting program is designed to encourage and celebrate youth visual arts skills in Painting and Drawing.

2025 Chili Cook-Off
Join us on October 5, 2024 at the Vigo County Fairgrounds for our fourth annual chili cook-off. This is our primary fundraising event which we use to contribute to youth-related events and organizations throughout each year.

Our Tree at the 2024 FEZtival of Trees
The Breakfast Optimist Club is sponsoring the Feztival of Trees with a baby-themed Christmas tree.
Jessica Berryhill Discusses Mt. Pleasant’s Grace Gala
Jessica Berryhill, Special Needs Coordinator at Mount Pleasant Church, was our guest speaker on March 28, 2024. She spoke to the club about the annual Grace Gala at the church. The club made a $750 donation towards the event.
Renee Henry Provides Children’s Museum Update
Director of Education, Renee Henry, at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum was Thursday morning’s guest speaker. Renee gave a great presentation about the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8. The club is making a $300 donation to the museum.
